Lee Nichols was born in Marblehead, Mass., raised in Santa Barbara, and now lives in Yarmouth, Maine. Which is probably why the four years she attended Hampshire College in Amherst, where she studied history and psychology, made her antsy. It was much too far from the ocean. She is the author of five novels for adults and the HAUNTING EMMA series for young adults. She is married to novelist Joel Naftali, who sometimes writes as Joel N. Ross, and they have one son.

After a devastating battle at headquarters in New York, the ghostkeeping world is in shambles. When Emma and Bennett return home, they are determined to defeat the wraithmaster, Neos, forever. But it's not going to be easy. Bennett's parents kick him out when they realize he is still using drugs to enhance his powers. Emma is convinced her aunt has come back from the dead to warn her of a new threat. And worst of all, Neos is using wraiths to possess the students at Thatcher Academy. If the ghosts manage to take over the entire school, even Emma won't be strong enough to stop them. But if either she or Bennett sacrifice his or her powers, they might be able to save the ghostkeeping world once and for all-and break the "ghostkeepers lose their powers when they fall in love" curse. The question is: who will be the one to surrender all power?

    Thank you for sharing with us today. I have recently had my ear to the wires listening to a new buzz about Surrender. I look forward to reading it and appreciate the giveaway opportunity. If I had a question it would be with two authors in the household, do you find yourselves bouncing ideas off each-other, or just try to stay out of each-others writing way? :)

    Hi Denise Z,

    We do definitely bounce ideas around. Actually, we consider ourselves writing partners and honestly know each other's work as well as our own. Not that we never fight, but for the most part it's a good thing!

    Nice to see so many people excited about the books!
