The holidays are almost upon us and everyone is hustling and bustling from store to store and party to party. I’m as laid back during the holiday season as I am every other day of the year. We have our family rituals of course- like A Christmas Story marathon and staying in our pajamas all day. But after years of doing four Christmases in one day, I like to keep things simple.
I do all my shopping last minute and rock out to Christmas tunes while I wrap presents in the middle of the night after my kids are asleep. Well, my little minion anyway. The older kids have taken to stuffing stockings, putting presents under the tree and eating Satan’s cookies for me! I also love non-traditional Christmas music. A true x-gen kid I grew up on alternative music and my holiday music definitely leans in the same direction. Don’t get me wrong, I love Eartha Kit’s Santa Baby and Frank Sinatra’s Christmas Walts as much as the next girl but if Christmas Wrapping comes on by the Waitresses I am rocking out! Some of my other favorites are:
