Follow Friday #1
This weeks question comes from Jackie @ Insane Hussein
"What is your usual monthly book budget?"
I try not to spend more then $15 a month
Book Blogger Hop #1
This week's question comes from Christina who blogs at All About YA Books:
"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"
I VERY rarely don't start with the first book, Well lets just say I have only done it once and that was only because there were like 15 other books in the series and I was promised the books don't mention things that happened in the previous books.
Hi, hon - happy to be tagging along as a new follower. Love the site! :)

Hiya!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to find another great urban fantasy blog!
I have been known to start series in the middle or not with the first book just because it wasn't labelled properly or because the computers in the store weren't much help ;-) But traditionally, if possible, I prefer to start with the first book ;-)

ReplyDeleteNew follower here. I’m doing all three of the Friday blog runs. I don’t limit myself to budget with books. I just love to read and write so that line is always doable for me. And Yes, I love start a series at the 1st book.

Have a wonderful weekend :)
I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
ReplyDeletedoesn't run chronologically.
That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.
On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.
Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!
