Review Copy Source: NetGalleySixteen-year-old Hunter belongs to the Telepathic Alliance for the Latent or Newly manifested, otherwise known as Talon, a bounty hunter community known for their ruthless tactics. Her latest mission in San Diego was supposed to be a piece of cake, but when the job takes a treacherous and deadly turn, not even her telepathic abilities could have warned her of the dangers lurking around the corner.
There's only one place for Hunter to go, and that's straight into the hands of the government and their Psychic Intelligence Team, but even the “normal” world isn’t safe. With each passing hour throwing her deeper into the game of life and death, Hunter must decide who to trust before this mission becomes her last.
HUNTER was quick flowing and easy to dive into, I had no trouble staying in the story until the end.
My review for HUNTER will be short and sweet, like the book. Although the story is on the shorter side, there is a lot to it. Hunter as a characters was unique, easy to like and there were a few side characters that I loved. There were a lot of twists and turns thrown into HUNTER and lots of action too. The conflicts were filled with danger and kept the suspense up. There is a nice fast pace from front to end, I really can't think of any complaints.
I think HUNTER is a standalone, but I would read more in this world.
I gave it 4/5 stars
