Everything about Adria Dawson’s life has changed in unimaginable ways: the shattering betrayal of her mother, the fight for her life and sanity…the loss of her humanity. But now Adria must face the ultimate challenge and risk not only her life, but the lives of everyone she loves at the wrathful hands of Isaac Mayfair’s father.

Determined to help unravel a mysterious message deeply rooted in an unhinged mind, Adria becomes obsessed with traveling into Aramei’s turbulent past to see the truth of how the relationships and betrayals between the Mayfair and Vargas bloodlines were formed.

Meanwhile, Adria and the Mayfairs are doing everything they can to smoke out and trap the Praverian traitor. A trip to Providence uncovers not only an old family line who are enemies of the Praverians, but also raises questions about the Praverian’s true agenda.

But the traitor will be caught. People will die. And Adria’s destiny to be the cause of a war will come to pass. But what could a kind and simple girl like Adria Dawson ever do that could be considered an act of war? The landscape of the werewolf world will be forever changed in the climactic conclusion to The Darkwoods Trilogy.

I am going to start off saying that I really wasn't crazy about the title but after reading the book I understand it. So much happened in book 3 that I wasn't expecting I don't know where to start and how to word things without giving away spoilers. .

I have really enjoyed The Darkwoods Trilogy, I don't read a lot of self published books but whenever I do it seems like they are usually a huge hit. I'm sad to see the series end. I loved all of the characters and the overall plot. There was a great amount of action, suspense, emotion and crazy situations. Book 3 was full of revelations and conclusions. I never suspected some of the various outcomes and was shocked at every turn. The characters definitely made this series and most of the people I thought would make it to the end were present. Aramei's flash backs were a great addition to the story and really helped bring everything that has happened in to focus. I wasn't really crazy about the different POV's towards the end of the book and could have done without that.

The final showdown was awesome. I imagined it going just like that and it was a great action packed suspenseful moment. The ending to the ending really didn't please me. It wasn't bad or anything but the final event really didn't coincide with how I imagine it should have been, lol make sense? I don't know it was just ....ehh really? That is how things are left? ..... Yeah it isnt working for me, I think we need a short story ending to the ending. Despite that THE BALLAD OF ARAMEI was a great conclusion to the series

I gave it 4/5 stars
