Promo + Giveaway: Prison Princess by KC Cross (@JAHuss, @XpressoTours)

Prison Princess
Harem Station #5
THE BOYS OF HAREM STATION ARE KEEPING LOTS OF SECRETS!
Valor joined up with Tray after Beauty’s sacrifice because he knew Luck was destined to be with Princess Nyleena. There was no room in that relationship for a third wheel. But when he teamed up with Tray he had no idea that he’d be the third wheel in that partnership too.
Tray has been keeping ALCOR’s secrets since the day he arrived on Harem Station. Not just one or two… ALL of them. But he’s also been keeping one of his own.
His secret is a girl. Not a Cygnian girl. An Akeelian girl. A beautiful, mysterious, scheming secret girl that Tray has been in love with ever since she first turned up in his Pleasure Prison virtual reality asking him for help.
Except she’s not virtual.
She’s real.
She’s in danger.
And before Valor came along all he wanted to do was break her out of her prison and keep her for himself.
But now… he might have to learn to share.
Prison Princess is an erotic MMF ménage featuring double-endowed alien men, a girl who shouldn’t exist in a virtual Paradise, a love-struck sentient ship, two all-powerful AI’s willing to fight for her, and an entire book about LEARNING TO SHARE *wink-wink*.

Excerpt:

TRAY
I kiss her. Hard. My body blocks her in, pressing her against the wall so there’s no possibility of escape. My knee slips between her legs and then I kick her feet open. My cock grows harder against the soft skin of her inner thigh and I can’t wait to be inside her.
My fingers slip up into her hair and I pull it until she gasps and lets out a small squeak that will surely make me insane if she does it again. “Did you fuck him?” I ask.
“No,” she says softly. “But I wanted to.”
I laugh. And then I kiss her again. “Fuck, I’ve missed you,” I say, thinking about how warm her mouth will be on my cock.
She smiles, still kissing me back. Coy and teasing now, she says, “I really did want to fuck him. But he’s your brother and that’s kind of gross.”
“Not my real brother,” I say, nibbling at her neck. I want to eat her up. “And he might be interested.” I stop nibbling and pull back just a little. “But we can talk about that later. Right now you’re just mine and I’m not willing to share.”
My other hand squeezes her breast and I hold her there. My little captive. My secret prisoner. Staring into her dark eyes as she looks up at me with longing.
No one has ever looked at me this way. Only Brigit.
“I love you,” I say.
“Doesn’t seem like it,” she quips. “You left me for several eternities this time. I’m not happy. You need to make it up to me.”
“Do I?”
She nods, shyly. Trying not to smile.
I twirl her around, push her face up against the hut wall, and bite her shoulder as my cock slips between her legs. “Like this?” I ask, my fingers already playing with her ass.
“Like that,” she whimpers back. “Right now.”
“Better get yourself wet, princess. And you better do it quick. Because I’m not in the mood to wait and I don’t care if it hurts.”

Review: Rise Against by Hailey Edwards (@HaileyEdwards, @PiatkusBooks)

Rise Against
Release Date: August 22, 2019
Publisher: Piatkus
ASIN:  B07NDK38D3
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Review Copy Source: NetGalley

Welcome to the ferocious world of The Foundling, set in a bayou town where men are men - except when they are also dragons, kitties with wings, alligators and . . . well, Miller.
Apocalypse? It must be Tuesday
The four horsewomen of the apocalypse came to Earth - and only two survived. Now it's time for the real battle to begin . . .
Luce has come, literally, through hell, and now she's trying to pick up the pieces. Earth is getting ready for the war to end all wars: it's angels vs demons and Luce is the only one who seems worried about humanity, hapless pawns who are stuck in the middle of the battlefield. Between building an army and running for her life, she's got a lot on her plate - and that's not to mention her beloved Cole.
As angels drop dead and violent forces begin to gather in the city, the final pieces of an ancient war fall into place, and it's time for Luce and her loyal coterie to face an enemy like no other. In order to survive, they'll need to team up with those they've considered enemies, and try to decide who, if anyone, they can trust. And Luce must decide how much she's ready to risk in the name of peace - and whether she'd be prepared to sacrifice her very soul . . .

DEATH KNELL wasn't my favorite installment of The Foundling series so I was a little worried that RISE AGAINST would fall along the same lines. I had nothing to be worried about.

Luce is continuing to learn about herself and her allies. I enjoy each and everyone on her team. I love the slow release of details, but am glad that by the end of RISE AGAINST it seems that Luce is finally in the know about all the things that have been kept from her and some revelations have cleared up some of the lingering questions I have had since book one.

Luce's relationship with Cole is finally strong. They are both on the same page and work really well together. We learned that they had a child (well, Cole and Conquest specifically) in DEATH KNELL and I wasn't really sure how I felt about it. I'm still not totally sure, but by the end of RISE AGAINST, I was more excited about it.

I totally loved the developments having to do with Rixton. I don't want to give anything away, but I was really excited about how that particular portion of the storyline played out in RISE AGAINST.

After I was done reading RISE AGAINST I only wanted to read more.

I gave it 4/5 stars

Review: Rebel by Debbie Cassidy (@amoscassidy)

Rebel
Release Date: Aug 13, 2019
Publisher: Self-Published
Survivor's Heart Book #2,
Planet Athion Book #14
ASIN:  B07SPTGKSQ
Genre: RH Sci Fi
Review Copy Source: Author

When death stalks the night, the only way to survive is to become the hunter...
Things aren’t what they seem with the guys. But when lies threaten to pull us apart, fate decides to test us...
Stranded on a strange planet on unfamiliar terrain, there’s no choice but to work together. No choice but to trust in one another. No choice but to give in to passion!
But we’re not alone, because something lurks in the dark. Something ancient and hungry...
The lights are about to go out...
Don’t make a sound...

A Sci fi adventure with a Why Choose Romance and part of the Planet Athion world.

I enjoyed REBEL a bit more than ROGUE. In Rogue, I felt like I was missing something as I had not read anything in the Planet Athion world and I felt like we could have used more information. REBEL felt like it was part of it's own world.

The characters are all interesting so far. They all have their issues and struggles which make them more likable to me. The harem gets some traction in REBEL. It seems this harem is moving along faster than some of Debbie's other series, so if you like a little bit of a faster burn you are in luck.

The books in the Survivor's Heart series are very short and move at a fast pace. Things happen quickly with not a whole lot of build up or detail. I didn't feel the lack of detail as much in REBEL which was nice, but I still feel like we would benefit from just a little bit more. I'm still enjoying the storyline and I will continue to read this series.

I gave it 3.5/5 stars

Quick Thought Review: Dead End by Debbie Cassidy (@amoscassidy)

Sometimes I read a book where I just don't have a lot to say about it. Hence the name quick thought reviews. This will be short and sweet.

Dead End
Release Date: August 6, 2019
Publisher: Self-Published
ASIN:  B07SKCDHBS
Genre: Fantasy RH
Review Copy Source: Author

When death starts taking liberties, it’s time to fight back.

The council’s word means nothing to me. Their refusal to open their eyes no longer matters. I have a job to do and no one will get in my way.

Lie, cheat, deceive, I’ll do what it takes to save the people I love, and avenge the ones I’ve lost. I won’t be doing it alone. My guys are with me; by my side every step of the way.

No more excuses.

No more waiting.

We have a window to bring Genesis down. One shot. And I’m going to take it.

To heal a broken sword, you’ll have to forge it in fire. Bring on the flames.

A Post-Apocalyptic Urban Fantasy World with a slow blurn Whychoose Romance

Although short, each book in this series has been quickly paced and full of action.

I enjoyed the characters and storyline of this series. DEAD END ends things and leaves us content with the series ending. The harem is full of different men that work well together, but the romance isn't a main part of the storyline.

Why not a full 4 or 5 stars? There was something throughout the series that I had issues with and mentioned in previous reviews. It bothered me that it was never taken care of and I couldn't help think about it in each book when it wasn't resolved. DEAD END does address it a bit which was nice, but it still felt like an afterthought.

If you enjoy Cassidy's previous books, I would definitely give this series a shot.

I gave it 3.5/5 stars
