Allie Beckstrom's lover, Zayvion Jones, is a Guardian of the Gate, imbued with both light and dark magic and responsible for ensuring that those energies don't mix. But Zayvion lies in a coma, his soul trapped in death's realm. And when Allie discovers that the only way to save Zayvion is to sacrifice her very own magical essence, she makes a decision that may have grave consequences for the entire world.

I thought this was a fantastic continuation of Allie Beckstrom's world. She has to sacrifice a big part of herself in this book and I can not wait to see what comes of that sacrifice (I'm actually hoping she will get her sacrifice back I just cant see her without it). Allie's Dad is also continuing to cause issues by using her and I still cant figure out what exactly he is trying to do but we got a few more facts on all her memory issues that were nice to know. The ending of course was left open to continue into the next story and the little sneak peak of Book #6 Magic on the Hunt left me wanting to continue the series.

I give it 4/5 Stars
