Interview & Giveaway: Dark Incidence by A.G. Liam

UFI welcomes A.G. Liam Author of Dark Incidence. Thanks for Joining us!!

What do you enjoy doing on your down time?

I love to Paint. I enjoy painting landscapes and seascapes. I also like to listen to music and read. However, I wish had more down time :)

What is your Favorite part of writing?

My favorite part of writing in general is the complete freedom to describe anything and tell any story. Even if it feels like every story and every character has been written about, there is always a fresh and entertaining story just waiting to be told.

Do you have any certain routines you must follow as you write?

Yes, I sort of do. I love writing in the morning when I get the chance. I wake up as early as 4:30am and make myself a cup of coffee and have it on my patio while thinking about the characters and plotting my chapters. It’s so quiet and peaceful then.

Things are different when I write at night. I wait for everyone at home to fall asleep. Then, if there is some wine, I usually have a glass with some chocolates, and then I start my writing.

What are some of your Favorite books or Authors in the Urban Fantasy/ Paranormal Genres?

Anne Rice, Joe Hill, Stephen King are some of my favorite authors.

How would you pitch Dark Incidence to someone who has not heard of it before?

It’s a one of a kind vampire/paranormal story that takes you through the journey of two young, newly turned vampires who unknowingly get entangled in a messy war. On one side, there is a faction of vampires called the Ruemisuds who are technologically advanced, elite society that want absolute control. On the other side, there are the Rhowels, a mystical, humble clan who are fighting for their survival. The story is written in such a way that the reader goes along for an exciting ride in these unknown and dangerous new worlds and ultimately finds the truth.

Can you tell us a little bit about the world that Dark Incidence is set in?

There are actually two different worlds in the book. One world is futuristic, tech heavy, and sterile, yet admirable. The other is more natural, simple and mystical. It’s the contrast between these two worlds that really sets the tone for the book.

Do you have a favorite scene in Dark Incidence?

Yes I do. When Dani tries to protect her friend Matt, they end up in a fast paced, heart pounding chase through the town of Everitte. I loved writing it because I imagined it like an action sequence from a horror movie, and the visuals and descriptions are very intense, with impeccable pacing. This scene ended up being the prologue to Dark Incidence.

Which character was your favorite to write about? What about the hardest to write about?

My favorite character to write about was Paul. He is loyal, charming, funny and definitely an alpha male. And yes, he’s HOT!! ;)

My hardest character to develop was Dani, the protagonist. Her journey and emotions are layered and complex.

What Other Projects can we look forward to reading from you?

Dark Incidence II. I’m working on it now, with a much bigger story in mind. For those who finished the first one, they will not be disappointed by the twists.

Dani is determined to change. Trodden down by her abusive stepdad, neglectful mother, and nonexistent social life, Dani decides to leave it all behind—she flees into the night and finds herself in a dark, and strangely wondrous, new world, a world unknown to most humans.

However, destiny is an unpredictable force. Through a peculiar turn of events, she unknowingly gets entangled in a brutal war waging between two factions of vampires.

The Ruemisuds are a technologically advanced, elite vampire society that wants absolute control. They will stop at nothing to get it, including experimenting on unsuspecting humans and decimating the Rhowels, a clandestine, rebel clan of vampires. But the Rhowels possess a key to survival that the Ruemisuds desperately want, which they will protect until the bitter end.

Dani's riveting journey has just begun in this beautiful tale of love, hate, betrayal, and, above all, survival. The war is escalating quickly and Dani is determined to survive. Who will help her? Who will win the war?
