In the year since her life was torn apart, Kit Colbana has slowly rebuilt herself. There’s a promise of hope in the relationship with the alpha of the local shapeshifters and she no longer comes screaming into wakefulness. Life’s not perfect but then again, when was it ever?

When her best friend Justin comes to her for help, there’s little question as to what her answer will be. Witches are disappearing and Justin won’t rest until he has answers. Soon, they learn that it’s not just witches who’ve gone missing, but vampires and shifters, too.

Unlikely alliances are forged as Kit and Justin found themselves drawn into a twisted web of lies and betrayal. As the clock counts down and the culprit behind recent disappearances is revealed, those Kit loves the most become the target of somebody who will kill to protect an ugly secret.

This is a great series. I was able to read books 1-3 back-to-back. I have been wanting to get my hands on book 4 since the last chapter of BROKEN BLADE and it's finally here. If you are new to the series, do yourself a favor and start with BLADE SONG. You won't want to miss a moment.

It was nice to see Kit returning to her old self. She has been through a lot and has done a lot of healing. I really want to see her get her connection with her blade back. You can definitely feel something missing while reading. I loved watching her fight for what she wanted and watching her put a specific shapeshifter who thought she would come in and steal her man in their place was highly entertaining. The relationship between Kit and Damon has also come a long way. I really enjoy seeing them together and working with each other to get things done.

Kit works closely with Justin in EDGED BLADE. He is still in love with Kit and I think they were both able to get there feelings out to the other. I truly believe they will always be a part of the others life and they work really well together so I look forward to seeing what there next adventure will include.

There has been a lot of tears in past books and I am happy to report there is a lot more healing going on in EDGED BLADE. I enjoyed every moment from the action to the romance and I am hoping we don't have to wait too long for book 5!

I gave it 4/5 stars

  3. Great review. I'm dying to start this series, especially since J.C./Shiloh will be visiting my blog again on Monday. I feel guilty that I haven't read these yet, and they sound fantastic.
