The ranks of tough, beautiful, and sexy heroines who battle supernatural evil have grown since the early days of Buffy the Vampire Slayer--and none are tougher than author Sable Grace's half Vampyre-half Lychen warrior Kyana. Paranormal romance fans who regularly devour the bestselling novels of Jeaniene Frost, Pamela Palmer, and Sherrilyn Kenyon will be mesmerized by Chosen, Grace's third breathtaking Dark Breeds adventure. This time her unstoppable avenger takes on her new role as Goddess of the Hunt, joining with Ryker--the new Zeus and Kyana's one true love--to save the world from vampires, demons, shapeshifters, and all manner of supernatural creatures of the night, in a battle that could carry them to the fiery depths of Hades itself.

I liked Kyana from the first chapter of Book 1. I have enjoyed following her journey from independent Vampire/Werewolf mixed breed then through her transformation to the Goddess of the Hunt. She has put people in danger, Saved innocents and protected those she cares about. Everything seems to have settled down a bit when Haven starts dreaming about Cronos new plans to get revenge on those that went against him. In CHOSEN Kyana is forced to revisit past experiences with people long dead, she is forced to accept help from others and she is forced to search her heart and soul for what she wants out of her relationship with Ryker.

The series has had great character development and world building. There are many levels to the world that Sable Grace has created and it was easy to fall into. The story flows at a nice pace. I didn't love book 3 as much as the previous 2 books. I think I missed the angry, take no crap Kyana but she has developed nicely and I think it was the right direction for her character. I loved the final fight with Cronos, There was plenty of action, danger and surprises. The ending felt complete and if CHOSEN is to be the last in the series I would be happy with everything that was resolved. This is not a series to start from any book other then the first. There is no recapping of past events and you would be totally lost.

I gave it 3/5 stars
