A BLOOD SEDUCTION is a great Dark Fantasy for those who like dark violence and a little twist with vampires living on a parallel world. 

Quinn was way to trusting in my opinion, I wanted to smack her upside the head more then a few times. I liked her abilities and the explanations of them. Reading about Arturo and his dual persona's was akin to experiencing whiplash. When his good side was showing he was swoon worthy and easy to like but then bam he is someone cold, heartless and all around a piss poor man. I still cant tell what his motives are as they seemed to be hidden and changed so darn often. The relationship between Quinn and Arturo was a bit weird. He wants her and she wants him but they lie and scheme against each other at ever turn. The world building was fantastic. It was well thought out and executed. I enjoyed Pamela's writing style but I cant say I was totally sold on the story as a whole.

I wasn't crazy about the ending but it was a good way to throw a wrench into things. It seemed like it was going good and you knew what was really happening and then bam nothing is as it seems.

I gave it 3/5 stars

I have enjoyed many of the mermaid books out there lately and THE VICIOUS DEEP is just as good with a slightly different twist since the main character is actually a merman.

Tristan's voice throughout the book was easy to follow and fall into. His character was well portrayed and his story was eventful. Layla was my second favorite character and as Tristan's best friend she had a high place in the book. Tristan and Layla have been best friends forever and now have feelings for each other but neither is willing to throw that out there first. Tristan is known to his friends as some what of a man whore so its pretty entertaining watching him try to get Layla to see him as more then a friend. The whole relationship was frustrating and sweet at the same time. There were a lot of great characters thrown into THE VICIOUS DEEP that also helped bring the story out and you really cant help falling in love with all of them.


Lots of stuff is left in the air but THE VICIOUS DEEP was the first book in The Vicious Deep Trilogy and you can tell the whole series will be nothing but entertainment, suspense and action. I'm looking forward to Tristan's continued fight to find the final pieces of the Triton.

Jennifer Adams, best friend to Jacque Pierce and Sally Morgan, spicy, out spoken, a little crazy and human...or so she thought. Jen has just found out that human DNA is not the only thing that resides in her veins, she happens to share that little pesky werewolf gene, although it isn't more than just a drop. Now that she and her friends are living in Romania with Fane's pack, she is also oh so conveniently stuck with the object of her affection, the fur ball Decebel.

Drawn to each other by something they don't understand Jen finds herself frustrated by the lack of mating signs between her and said fur ball. Not only is she dealing with that not so un-frustrating problem, she now has been informed that because of that little drop of werewolf blood in her she is now required to attended a multi-pack gathering for un-mated wolves. This type of gathering hasn't taken place in over a century but with a shortage of females among the werewolf population the males are getting worried they won't ever find their true mates.

Meanwhile Decebel struggles with the emotions he is feeling towards Jen. He tries to keep his distance but there is just something about the mouthy blonde that keeps him coming back for more of her verbal abuse that he just can't seem to get enough of...go figure.

JUST ONE DROP continues just a short time after the end of BLOOD RITES. The book focuses mostly on Decebel and Jen as they continue to figure out why they are so drawn to each other without having the official mating signs. A good chunk of the book takes place at a singles type convention for un-mated wolves where they try to find their True mates. Because Jen and Decibel do not have the mating signs they are forced to attend and watch each other with other people and it isn't going so well. 


Jen has always been a fun character. She says whats on her mind and doesn't bullshit anyone. She has a lot of self discovery going on throughout the book and while keeping with her snarky, smart asses self she still pulls herself together to get things done. Decebel is a hard-ass on the outside but you can totally tell he is a big hearted guy on the inside. If only he would get over his fears of failing the ones he loves sooner a lot of frustration and heartache could be avoided. Quinn does a really good job with the world she has created but the characters definitely make the series and they are what keeps me coming back for more. I like that even though the focus is on a certain pair that everyone is still involved in the story and you can see everyone's growth throughout.  


The one thing I hated about JUST ONE DROP you ask?? The MASSIVE cliffhanger ending. There is nothing worse then reading a book to its end looking for the happily ever after and being thrown a massive curve ball that feels like its the end of all. Will it keep me from reading book 4? Heck no it is what is going to make me come back. 


I gave it 4/5 stars

Teenage Garage Sale

I’m not sure I could part with the few mementos I have saved from my teen years. These items may be priceless to me, but on the open market, I’m not sure they’d earn a penny – and I might be open to public ridicule. It won’t take you long to realize that I was a teen in the 1980s. I may regret being so honest, but here goes…

My complete Rick Springfield collection – I never watched General Hospital but I quickly fell for the voice behind Jessie’s Girl. Rick was the first concert I ever attended, and I still have the concert program. My best friend and I would watch the VHS she gave me of his music videos over and over – especially the part where he sighs in the opening of Souls (http://youtu.be/MhT97glh3zE). And this same friend and I had a ritual of studying for our college finals while listening to selections from each of Rick’s nine albums. Oh, yeah and I almost forgot… Hard to Hold – his full-length feature film. I watched that more times than I can count. (I may have to find a DVD of that for old-time’s sake.)

Collection of scripts – I wanted to be an actress. I was in every play and musical at my high school. I played Laurie in Oklahoma as well as lessor parts in Camelot, Crucible, Music Man, West Side Story, Up the Down Staircase, Ms. Frankenstein’s Monster, and loads of others I can’t – or don’t want to – remember. I’m so thankful that those were the days before YouTube. I think there’s a VHS of me in a few of these high school productions, but I certainly hope the tape will have degraded by now.

Big earrings – I had a different pair of earrings for every outfit. The bigger the better. None of them costs more than a few dollars. And I’m sure I’d be embarrassed to wear any of them today.

Hair accessories – It was the time of big hair and lots of hair spray. I proudly sported two-inch high bangs. I used a bottle of Stiff Stuff hairspray every few weeks. By the time I moved away for college, you couldn’t chisel the hairspray residue off my bedroom mirror. For some reason I now cannot for the life of me remember, during my senior year, I never styled my hair the same way twice in one week. I had an astounding array of bands, clips and bows. I think it was because it was the first time in my life that I had long hair – but who knows what my teen brain was thinking.

Poetry – Junior high and high school was my poetry phase. I wrote very bad, angst ridden poetry with titles such as Unnoticed Love and Tomorrow Never Comes. I can still recite these by heart – if you’re interested.

Celebrity Collage – My bedroom had a gabled ceiling. I cut out photos from celebrity magazines and created a collage of photos over my bed. I changed this masterpiece regularly depending on my current obsession. I can remember Tom Selleck, Jameson Parker, Shaun Cassidy as well as a selection of soap opera stars from Young and the Restless, As the World Turns, Capitol and Guiding Light.

Crush Mementos – Today it might be considered stalking, but through my high school years, I had a series of crushes – pretty much all unrequited*sigh*. I would fall head over heels and create secret shrines to the object of my affection. This usually consisted of: a photo secretly snapped and displayed in a decorative frame, items that he had touched (candy wrapper and even a lock of my hair), perhaps notes or letters, or newspaper articles when one was a high school basketball star, for example. These items were hidden under my bed or buried in the back of my closet in a shoe box.

So these are the trappings of my misspent youth. I wish I could claim well-worn copies of War and Peace or some humanitarian award rather than my certificate for senior class historian or some precious item of jewellery – other than the crown I received my senior year as Miss Choral Sweetheart. But, alas my mementos are more of a love-sick teen heavily influenced by teen mags with dreams of the big screen.

Excerpt chapter 6

"What are you grinning about?" Decebel growled, knowing he wasn't going to like the answer.

"I think it's time we break up their girls' night out. Preferably before Jen falls off the bar," Fane told him. Though he tried, he couldn't hide the teasing laughter in his eyes as he watched his words penetrate Decebel's mind.

"She's in a bar?"

"Oh, she'll do you one better than that, Beta." Fane chuckled. "She's on a bar. As in dancing on a bar. The patrons are quite taken with her."

Decebel was out of his seat and ripping the door open before Fane could finish his sentence.

"Did you have taunt him?" Vasile scolded.

Fane shrugged. "Seeing the steely, calm Beta all riled is too much to pass up, Alpha."

Vasile tried to hide his smile as he shook his head at his only son. "Fine, but hurry up and go with him or he'll tear the damn bar apart, and I don't have the time or energy to deal with that mess."

"As you say." Fane winked at his father.

"Luna, I'm giving you fair warning. Your little adventure has been found out by the subject of your taunting. Do you think it wise, my love, to bait a dominant male?"

Fane could feel her surprise as she heard his voice in her mind. He smiled. He loved surprising her – it was a nice change of pace since he was usually the one being surprised.

"Crap. Is he on his way here?" Fane heard the anxiety in her voice.

"Hell is on his heels, love."

"You are enjoying this entirely too much, White Fang."

"Aw. Now, Jacquelyn, that is no way to speak to your mate." Fane couldn't cover his laughter.

"Just remember, wolf-man, I will follow through with my threat to have that dog house built for you. Now how long?"

"You wound me with your words, Luna."

"Fane, I'm not playing with you. How long till the brooding fur ball arrives?"

Fane had neglected to tell Jacquelyn that he and Decebel had been driving the whole time they'd been conversing. The bar was only five minutes from the mansion. He smiled to himself as he and Decebel climbed out of the Hummer.

Fane pulled open the door to the bar. He took in the scene and nearly lost his composure at the sight.

"You're looking stunning, Luna, if not a little under-clothed." Fane watched as Jacquelyn's eyes, big as saucers, met his across the bar. He grinned wickedly, raising his eyebrows as he whispered in her mind.

"Gotchya."
