WORST. JOB. EVER.

Kate O'Hara can't wait until this temp assignment is over. The woman who hired her is a psychotic pageant queen, her coworkers are convicts-turned-clerks, and it's so boringly corporate it makes her skin crawl. Even her sexy-as-sin boss, famed billionaire Thomas Kestrel, isn't enticement enough to keep her there. Once she makes enough to pay off her bills, she's out. Or so she thinks...

WHAT THE HELL?

Next thing she knows, she's accidentally signed over her soul. Literally. And she's discovered Thomas's real mission: to kill thirteen bad guys in one year, in order to get his—now his and Kate’s—souls back.

IT'S NOT JUST A JOB. IT'S A MISADVENTURE.

From learning to boost the morale of some paper-pushing demons to navigating her way through blood-red tape, Kate has to work closely with her super-hot supervisor and get her flaky act together, before somebody clocks her out—p permanently!

I admit, When I saw TEMPING IS HELL I was skeptical. The blurb is fun but the book didn't jump out at me. Its funny how a lot of the books I'm not super excited to read turn out being super fun, filled with action, great characters, keep me interested from beginning to end and leave me wanting more.

Kate isn't the most put together person out there. She tends to make rash decisions and gets herself in unneeded trouble but she is extremely loyal and is always looking out for the underdog. I loved the basement boys! They were so awkward, creepy and interesting and Slim turned out to be a really useful ally. Thomas is trying to get his soul back and to do that he has to find and kill a select group then kill the guy that signed his soul away. Once he meets Kate he not only gets closer to finding these men buts starts questioning his resolve in using whatever means possible including Kate do to what needs to be done. Kate and Thomas had some great chemistry but definitely butt heads a lot and in no way really trusted each other. I now the ending of the book wont stand for long so it should be interesting to see what happens between them next. I could not stand Maggie but I don't think anyone would be able to. Kate's Parents made me sad but I liked her brother for the most part.

The whole concept of the book was easy to get in to. The commentary kept me laughing and the characters were easy to like or hate as the case may be. TEMPING IS HELL was a fun, easy paced book and I will be keeping my eyes out for book 2.

I gave it 4/5 stars
