Girl Found

Release Date: November  2010

Syndicate Stories Book #1

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Ellen Morris, she plans to finish college before starting a career as a chef. Until the National Bureau of Investigation picks her up off the street outside her house. Agents Jones turns everything in her life upside down. Ellen no longer has a life, only a past she knows nothing about.

The new colonies are being expanded every day. Those that can have found a new life off-planet. Nick's not waiting for a ride - he's building his own future right here. The Avenues of New Chicago are transforming Earth into a hedonistic getaway spot, and making Nick rich in the process. With the government weakening and his rivals falling into chaos, it’s a matter of time before he controls New Chicago. Everything is working to plan.

Until a rival's secretary drops a file on his desk…the heiress. Twenty years ago the heirs to Morelli house and Agostino house married. A year later they died, a hit rumored to be from inside one of the houses. Their daughter died with them. That's what everyone believed. Now Nick was looking at evidence that wasn't true. Was the file real, or bait?

If the girl, now a young woman, was alive...by rule of blood she controlled two Syndicate house seats. A lot of people would be very unhappy.

The rule of blood. Live by it or die for it. Time to make a choice.

In the first half of the book the situations were a little jumpy going from one to another, there were a lot of names of people thrown into the mix all at once and it was a bit confusing trying to remember everyone and who exactly they were related to or what there role was. I enjoyed Arianna the only issue I had was that sometimes I found myself forgetting how old she was because she came off younger than she was with the way she acted, Of course going farther into the book she grew quite a bit as the situations changed and she had to stick up for herself and what she wanted. The world Lisa has created for the future was easy to believe and easy to get into. The emotions of the characters were conveyed well and I found myself being mad, glad, sad right along with the characters. I genuinely hope that Lisa decides to continue her stories of the Syndicate and that they continue to follow Ellen aka Arianna as the main character as I'm defiantly intrigued enough to keep reading.

I gave it a 3/5

Review: Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by J.A. Saare

Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between
Author:J.A. Saare
Release Date: February 7, 2010
Publisher: Mundania
Rhiannons Law Book #1
ISBN:  1770650229
ISBN13: 9781770650220
Genre: Urban Fantasy

One bad corpse can ruin your whole day. No one knows that better than Rhiannon Murphy. She’s left behind the flash and sass of Miami for the no-nonsense groove of New York City, eager for a clean slate and a fresh start. A bartender by trade, a loud mouth by choice, and a necromancer by chance; she’s managed to keep her nifty talent hidden from those around her – until now.

The deliciously good-looking vampire Disco knows her secret, and when he strolls into her bar to solicit help investigating the mysterious disappearances of his kind from the city, she discovers he’s not the kind of person that appreciates the significance of the word no.

But in a world where vampires peddle their blood as the latest and greatest drug of choice, it’s only a matter of time before the next big thing hits the market. Someone or something is killing vampires to steal their hearts, and unlike Rhiannon, this isn’t their first stroll around the undead block.

There is nothing simple about Rhiannon and she doesn't seem to get a break. She had a troubled past and she hides behind a tough-girl attitude and a blunt and crude mouth. There is a ton of character development that helps you get to know the various characters and there are quite a bit of them. There is a bit of slowness in the beginning of the book but I'm telling you to stick in there because it picks up fast and will blow your reading mind. Now the ending has a HUGE Cliffhanger, If I could use an emoticon It would be the guy with it's eyes bugging out. I mean HOLY CRAP, Why do authors do this to us poor readers its ridiculous I tell you. And for those who already read the book Who the heck would pick that number?? Really?? THE RENFIELD SYNDROME cant come out soon enough.

Early Review: Green Eyed Demon by Jaye Wells

Green Eyed Demon

Publisher: Orbit
Sabina Kane Book #3
ISBN:   031603777X
ISBN13: 9780316037778
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Review Copy Source: Netgalley.com

The clock is ticking for Sabina Kane. Her sister has been kidnapped by her grandmother, the Dark Races are on the brink of war, and a mysterious order is manipulating everyone behind the scenes.

Working on information provided by an unlikely ally, Sabina and her trusty sidekicks–a sexy mage named Adam Lazarus and Giguhl, a Mischief demon–head to New Orleans to begin the hunt for her sister. Once there, they must contend with belligerent werewolves, magic-wielding vampires and–perhaps most frightening of all–humans.
But as much as Sabina is focused on surviving the present, the past won’t be ignored. Before she can save those she cares about most, she must save herself from the ghosts of her past.

I dont know why but snarky characters always make me love a book more. Sabina continues her kick butt adventures in book 3 GREEN EYED DEMON. The pace is fast and action packed from the beginning of the book. Adam and Sabina are a great couple in my opinion, I love how she opens herself up finally. New Orleans is always a fun city to read about and the extra supernatural flair Wells adds makes it that much better. I am excited to see what some of the new characters we met will bring to future books.  Action, suspense, romance, and tough life changing choices helps make this book a must read. I dont know what the future will bring for Sabina but I'm staying on the ride to find out.

I gave it 5/5 stars

Review: Blood Wyne by Yasmine Galenorn

Blood Wyne
Author:Yasmine Galenorn
Release Date: February 1, 2011
Publisher: Berkley
Sisters of the Moon Book #9
ISBN:  0425239748
ISBN13: 9780425239742
Genre: Urban Fantasy

We're the D'Artigo sisters: half-human, half-Fae, we're sexy, we're savvy and we just turned in our badges to the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. My sister Camille is a wicked good witch. Delilah's a werecat and blossoming Death Maiden. And as for me? I'm Menolly, acrobat extraordinaire turned vampire. But being a vamp isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when the Godfather of all vampires decides to play Prince Charming...

It's the holiday season and a vampire serial killer is on the loose. Hungry ghosts are tearing up the town and people are running scared. I strike a deal with Ivana Krask--one of the Elder Fae--and too late, discover strings are attached. But when I turn to Roman, one of the oldest, most powerful vampires around, for help, he offers me more than I ever bargained for.

This is now my favorite Menolly Book. She has grown so much throughout the series. She has had to move on from a horrific past and it is so nice to see her open herself up a little and watch her change. There is a decent amount of action in BLOOD WYNE as well as some sexy scenes. Lots of things happen in BLOOD WYNE that I think are going to shake up all the sisters lives and affect future books. A new character that is introduced is definitely going to shake up Menolly's life and I cant wait to read about it.There hasn't been one book of Ms Galenorn's that I haven't enjoyed reading so far so I would defiantly recommend you pick up one of her series.
